Anita Ujjainwal
Anita Ujjainwal is the president of the Bhartiya Nagrik Manch, she is a renowned face in the social field, she has given huge courage and confidence to women ,made hundreds of women self-reliant and provided justice to suffering women.
Anita Ujjainwal is always struggling to get justice for the Dalits , backward and exploited victims.Anita has done a lot of work for manual scavengers & sewage workers and sanitation workers and has got there demands from the government and concerned departments; there was a time when the gas harmful gases of STP plants killed tens of sewage workers. To prevent the death of sewage workers in Delhi,Anita Ujjainwal inspected all the Sewage Treatments Plants in Delhi .Anita Ujjainwal suggested to the Social Welfare Minister of Delhi for the rehabilitation of Manual Scavengers & sewage workers. Minister of Delhi immediately worked on this project and cleaning of sewer in Delhi was done by crane .
S.A. Azad
S.A. Azad , state coordinator of Bhartiya Nagrik Manch came to Lal Kuan village,in the outskirts of Delhi in 1999 with a specific task in mind: making villagers literate. In due course, he noticed a pattern; despite repeatedly treated for tuberculosis ,villagers would die .Today, he can talk of nothing else but this problem and the dead ends he has reached trying to help the people.
In 1980 an All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, study had shown that silicosis was common in the Lal Kuan Delhi area. In 2001, Azad carried out a study; 146 people were interviewed and the result suggested that 83 of them could be silicosis-ridden. Confirmatory tests were needed then. While silicosis can be diagnosed on the basis of history and a simple x-ray, additional tests need to be done to ensure results cannot be nullified in court. Act scan is required, but costs Rs 4,000, and even government hospitals do not provide it gratis.

A young, dynamic lawyer and legal advisor for Bhartiya Nagrik Manch, Amransh Visharat fights for the oppressed & backward class people and upliftment of poor and oppressed class' people and provides free legal aid to them.Recently, Amransh participated in the 9th Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of the World Peace (HWPL) and received appreciation certificate.
